■ Instructions for installing stove in tent

 1. Place the stove in an appropriate position of the tent with the safe distance in accordance with DANGER 5
2. For convenience, you can firstly install the chimney pipes and spark arrestor above the Triple-wall Heat Protector Chimney, and install the whole set pass through the Flashing Kit.
 3. Fix with guyline to avoid possible toppling of the chimney

4. Three ways of extending the external air intake pipe to the outside of the tent.

⊙ If groundsheet of your tent is removable, you can extend the external air intake pipe through the gap between the ground and the snow skirt to the outside.

⊙ If there’s a ready opening with the right size on your tent, you can pass the external air intake pipe through this opening to the outside directly.

⊙ If you need to make an opening on your tent for the external air intake pipe to pass through, you can please purchase Winnerwell® Opener&Seal Set separately.

(1)Separate the parts.

(2)Determine the position of the opening.

(3)Mark the screw positions.

(4)Make the screw holes with a peg.

(5)Fix the metal rings onto the tent symmetrically, cut off the tent fabric, and the opening is done.

■ DANGER

 1. DANGER: When using the stove in a tent, a cabin or other airtight spaces, Winnerwell® External Air Intake Pipe must be equipped. Install the external air intake pipe correctly to connect with the direct air outside, and ensure a smooth air intake through the air inlet.

Set inlet of the external air intake horizontally or downward to block rain entering the pipe.

Check the external air intake pipe regularly before and during use to avoid the abnormal air intake due to blockage, flattening or damage of the pipe.

2. DANGER: In snowy days, the external air intake pipe should be raised and air inlet should be downward to avoid the abnormal air intake caused by snowdrift blockage or snow pouring into the pipe and therefore affect the combustion of the stove.
3. DANGER: Connect the external air intake pipe to the outside as straight as possible to avoid abnormal air intake by pipe bending, which will affect the combustion of the stove.
4. DANGER: No stepping on the external air intake pipe to prevent combustion failure due to abnormal airflow caused by the deformation of pipe, which may endanger personal safety.
5. DANGER: Clearance to Combustible Materials- Minimum clearance from the top surface of the stove to combustible materials is 1100mm(43.3in). Minimum clearance from the sides and corners of the stove body to the combustible materials is 1050mm(41.3in). Minimum clearance from the rear of the stove body to the combustible materials is 1050mm(41.3in). Minimum clearance from the fueling and ash removal side of the stove to the combustible materials is 1050mm(41.3in).
6. DANGER: Always ensure you have fireproof material underneath the stove, Winnerwell®  Fireproof Mat is recommended. The mat must normally extend not less than 450mm(18in) in front of the loading door and 200mm(8in) beyond the other sides and back.
7. DANGER: To start your fire, ensure the tent or shelter is well ventilated in the event of smoke spillage into the tent or shelter. When use this stove in a camping tent, always leave a window cracked or door opened. Ensure a minimum opening of 0.3m² (465 square inches) for adequate ventilation.
8. DANGER: Minimum Chimney Height Above the Roof of the Tent or Shelter-The top of the stove chimney should be high enough to be above the air turbulence caused when wind blows against the tent/shelter and its roof. The chimney must extend at least 1m(3ft) above the highest point of contact with the roof, and at least 60cm(2ft) higher than any roof line or obstacle within a horizontal distance of 3m(10ft). If the standard pipe included in the stove set cannot meet this height requirement, please purchase the spare part pipes separately.
9. DANGER: Please use dry wood only! The use of damp wood or other fuels may cause incomplete combustion and produce carbon monoxide. We recommend using a carbon monoxide detector in your tent or shelter.
10. DANGER: Never use gasoline, gasoline-type lantern fuel, kerosene, charcoal lighter fluid, ethyl alcohol or similar liquids to start or “reignite” a fire in the stove. Keep all such liquids well away from the stove while it is in use.
11. DANGER: Do not insert the stove pipe directly through the tent fabric. Winnerwell® Flashing Kit and Triple-wall Heat Protector Chimney must be used. If you are using a rain fly, you must have Flashing Kit and Triple-wall Heat Protector Chimney installed on both the rain fly and the tent. Failure to adhere to these precautions could result in your tent catching fire. If to use the stove in a Winnerwell® tent, please purchase Winnerwell® Flashing Kit separately.
12. DANGER: Never build an excessive fire, use firewood full of pitch, or burn coal in the stove. This can create excessive heat, turn the stove cherry red, and potentially warp and damage the stove.
13. DANGER: The stove has on optimal temperature range between 400℉ and 700℉. Managing the stove to burn within this range is strongly recommended as low temperature may cause incomplete combustion while excessively high temperature may damage the stove. When start a fire, the temperature is very low, please keep the doors and windows of the tent or shelter fully opened to ensure a full ventilation. When it reaches the optimal temperature, keep the minimum opening for ventilation in accordance with the DANGER 7.
14. DANGER: Never attempt to move the stove or pipe sections while the stove is burning. Always ensure the stove has fully cooled before moving.
15. DANGER: Never leave the stove burning unattended.
16. DANGER: Not intended for use by children under 16 years of age.
17. DANGER: Check the spark arrestor, flue pipe sections, air channels along the fire box and external air intake pipe daily for excessive creosote buildup and clean with Winnerwell® Pipe Brush as necessary to prevent blockage. Failure to check and clean regularly can result in compromised draw, incomplete combustion and smoke spillage, and increase the risk of chimney fire. Check for blockage prior to re-lighting after a prolonged shut down period.

■ WARNING

 1. WARNING: Properly install the external shielding mesh of the external air intake pipe to block small animals or leaves entering.
2. WARNING: If you need to make an opening on the tent for the external air intake pipe to pass through, it's recommended to fix the pipe and the opening to prevent the possible tearing of tent fabric.
3. WARNING: The stove shall not be used if the seals around the door are damaged. Door of the combustion chamber shall always be closed when operating and shall only be opened for adding fuel, ignition and extinguishing.
4. WARNING The parts of the stove, especially the external surfaces, will be extremely hot when in use, always wear Winnerwell®Heat-resistant Gloves when operate the stove. It is strongly recommended to keep a fire extinguisher nearby in the event of an accident.
5. WARNING: Never operate the stove when it has become damaged or combustion seems abnormal. Never pour water on the stove when it is burning, hot water vapor may cause burns.
6. WARNING: Stove components may have sharp edges or corners, be sure to handle them with care to prevent injury.
7. WARNING: Remember to open the stove door slowly with the external air intake airvent closed to reduce smoke spillage.
8. WARNING: Try to balance the weight on either side shelf to ensure the stability of the stove. The weight on either side should not exceed 10lbs, the maximum load-bearing weight of both side handles is 40lbs.
9. WARNING: WARNING: Winnerwell® stoves can become extremely hot when in use. Special caution is needed when young children and pets are present to prevent unintentional contact with a hot stove. Winnerwell® Fire Guard Stove Table is recommended.
10. WARNING: If elbows are used, it is necessary to support and fix the chimney pipe system with Winnerwell® LANTERN & PIPE STAND to prevent the risk of pipe tilting or pipe inclining in windy conditions.
11. WARNING: When installing the Spark Arrestor, please attach guy ropes to 3 eyelets at the bottom of the Spark Arrestor to keep your flue pipe stable in high winds. Windy conditions may cause the stove pipe to shake and move, which may create an unsafe situation. Consider additional guy ropes on your tent in high winds to maintain stability and to ensure the safe use of the stove.
